Full-Time Sales Associate Able Pawn Shop, Waukegan (1532 Belvidere Street, Waukegan, IL 60085)
About Us
Able Pawn Shop has served the Waukegan community for over 35 years. With our Honest Abe Approach, we treat every customer fairly and with respect. We offer 60-day renewable pawn loans and buy and sell jewelry, electronics, tools, musical instruments, and coins.
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Pay: $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience, plus commission
Benefits: Health insurance and dental insurance offered
Schedule: Store hours Mon Fri 9:30am 6pm, Sat 9:30am 5pm, Sun closed. Includes Saturdays.
Duties
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Help customers buy, sell, and pawn items
- Process sales and pawn loans, handle cash, and operate the register
- Evaluate merchandise for purchase or pawn
- Keep the sales floor clean and organized
- Answer phones and assist with customer questions
Requirements
- Friendly, reliable, and honest
- Retail or sales experience preferred we will train the right person
- Comfortable handling cash
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus (Se Habla Espaol)
- Must be 18 or older and able to pass a background check
- Able to work Saturdays
